Saturday (August 30th, 2014)

AM: Dim sum brunch date with Debra, her significant other and Aniq, one of our good friends from college.

Supposedly a quick brunch, our meet-up went on for 4 hours; the highlight reel of our days as a college student rolling, hilarious present-day goss updates and our conversation switched from giggly chatter to contemplative discussion about politics, religion and gender roles in today's society in a matter of seconds.

AM: Church.

To the land that I love, thank you for 57 years of national freedom and cultural diversity. I truly believe that your best days are ahead of you. Happy Independence Day, Malaysia!
