Last night at church, while we were keeping families in prayer...
Thankful that these hands are grasping mine... hands that first held me, hands that provided for me and hands that I know will always be ready to lift me up whenever I fall.
Love you, Daddy.
"Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don't work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, He will certainly care for you."
Luke 12:27-28 (New Living Translation)

Certainly.
I love that word. As a writer, my usage of the word 'certainly' is minimal, unless I am absolutely convinced (without a shadow of doubt) of something that will surely happen.
As I took in the loveliness of one of the lilies in our garden yesterday evening, I thought of these verses and all that they meant.
Across the corridors of time, God saw us, chose to care for us... surely, unequivocally and completely (that's what certainly means), with a love that is unlike any other... passionate, unrelenting and ever true.
So, yesterday I re-learned love... His lily kind of love, which has captured my heart in more ways than one, and will continue to do so eternally.

T'was a really fab day yesterday - Got away from work for 24 hours, managed to slip away from the world for a couple of hours to read, write and have some me time.
Almost perfect, if not for an awful headache late into the evening.

My colleague, Archangel, introduced me to a Mac application called Dash Expander not too long ago, and I have been loving it.
It is a snippet abbreviation expander. What that means is that it saves me (my fingers, actually) from typing countless keys for frequently used pieces of text. All I need to do is to key in abbreviations or keywords (which I have set) and the full text will instantly appear.
He purchased the application some time back, and after some coaxing on Friday, decided to share the full version with Seanna (I am reaping all the benefits, needless to say).
This was the message that popped up after he logged in his Apple ID and clicked on 'Buy':

Thank you, Dash Expander for acknowledging my awesomeness. I know that I rock.
My bed and I are in a co-dependent relationship.
I'm addicted to my bed, and my bed never wants me to leave.
Fer reals.
I returned home from work today feeling mentally exhausted. My entire work day was spent planning, brainstorming, nailing down details and even more planning. I have been in and out of meetings since 8am, with the very last one barely drawing to a close at 5:30pm.
Some of my favourite things tonight...

- Chanel's Fall beauty and couture magazine (generously sent by Chanel a week ago)
- L'Occitane en Provence's Pure Honey Shea Butter (Slather this on and wake up to the softest skin imaginable... that it will make a baby's bum weep tears of sorrow)
- Aesop's Geranium Leaf Body Cleanser (One of my favourite body cleansers of all time)
- TWG's Silver Moon (Worth every single cent I forked out)
Now, there's two of them to love...

From L to R: Kyra enjoying her dessert (she picked vanilla ice-cream) after dinner -- Baby Ryan, 2 months. All squishy and incredibly sweet smelling; happily cooing away. (P/S: The little guy puked on me twice last night) -- Kyra planting a long kiss on Ryan's yummy cheeks.
Yesterday evening, after work, a group of us from the office headed for our slated seafood dinner feast.
We made our way there, but not before we stopped by a satay (hut) stall along the way to pack some of those scrumptious meat on skewers.
While we were waiting for the satays to be done and with the beach being just steps away, I took off my Birkens, sank my feet deep into the velvety beads of sand and closed my eyes... loving how the salty wind lingered on my skin and felt the light of day melt into twilight.

14 Malaysians, 2 Japanese and 1 Thai met at two round tables (merged as one), with 7 dishes (I didn't get to take a picture of Dish #7 - Rice Noodles with Prawns, as I was too busy licking my egg yolk coated fingers).
