Hey Ma, Your Grandbaby Is An Egg!

Yesterday evening, I was in the midst of some chores when I heard my sister squealing in delight and hastening me to come out to the porch to check out "something".

That "something" turned out to be a bird's nest with an egg nestling inside on one of our home's hanging fern plants.

And today, while cooking lunch, I decided to check out the nest. Imagine my surprise when I saw TWO pink-shelled eggs instead of one!

I had to crane my neck and stretch my hands as much as they could allow me to for both the shots. I think I pulled a muscle while taking yesterday's shot.

I whipped out Evie and Whatsapp-ed my parents.

I don't know what besieged my mother to utter the following response:

The Effects of Tea

Drank a glass of tea at 10.30pm (while having supper) earlier tonight. And now, at

I am... awake, wide-eyed and ready for action.

My parents and neighbours should be thankful that I am not singing at the top of my lungs or prancing around my bed in my jammies; showing off the fab dance moves that I picked up from Dancing with the Stars, or God forbid, doing BOTH in one night.

Valentine's 2012

It took everything that I had to open my eyes, sit up and begin my day. I checked Evie and realised that there were V-Day texts and messages for me to reply. I sat up higher - jammies, bed-head hair and half-smothered by my comforter - thankful for all things; the past, the now and the future.

I was asked a week ago if I was free for a date on Valentine's Day. I had a date with Hugh Jackman but I figured that chalking up 3709 miles just for ONE day doesn't make much sense. After all, in about five months or so, we'd be doing happily ever after and together forever, so... I said "Yes" to the offer.

I spent Valentine's with these four...

They leave me in stitches, all the time. Love them!

A sweet treat from me to end the night.

I paid my childhood best friend a visit and surprised her with a cake; to celebrate the love that we've shared in our friendship through the years. I'm glad she liked her surprise.

Evening Sun

Omnipresent

Throughout this entire week, this word has been embedding itself into my heart and spirit.

He IS omnipresent - Always, always with us. And, I love that about Him.

I was listening to Pr. Tim Hall's podcast entitled 'Faith' earlier this week when His sweet presence just SO filled the car. I was feeling a little too overwhelmed to continue to drive. All I wanted was to take in more and more of His lovely presence. I was reminded to start well and finish BETTER (parable of talents - Matthew 25).

And now, at 5.28am, I am awake (and writing this post with Evie!); heart expectant, excited and full of praise, THANKING Him for what He is about to do this AM in His church. "I get up in the middle of the night to thank you; your decisions are so right, so true - I can't wait till morning!" (Psalm 119:62)

New year, new beginnings, new experiences but SAME message and purpose - Great days ahead!
